Natural Cure for External Hemroids

Emma F Hopkinson asked:

A natural cure for external hemroids is an excellent option for treating this condition successfully.  Sometimes, there is a tendency to think that natural treatments are somehow less effective than prescription medication, but this is often not the case. Indeed, because of their very nature, external hemroids cannot be successfully cured by any conventional medication and it simply masks the symptoms, although some can bring temporary relief.

External hemroids have many similarities to other forms of hemroids and there is little difference in the pain level. The position when compared with internal hemroids is what distinguishes them.  External hemroids grow outside the rectum and should not be confused with protruding internal hemroids which are strangulated veins which have been pushed out of the anus by straining.

Self Help Steps To Ease The Discomfort Of External Hemroids

*  Sit in a lukewarm bath for 10-15 minutes. You can do this up to 4 times a day for pain relief

*  Apply petroleum jelly or zinc cream to soothe the area

*  Soak a cotton wool pad in diluted witch hazel and apply to the area, leaving in place for a few minutes

*  Place an ice pack wrapped in a clean towel or kitchen paper directly on the hemroids. This will help to numb the area and naturally cause the veins to shrink a little, albeit temporarily

*  Drink at least 6 glasses of water a day as this will help soften the stools

*  Eat a diet rich in fresh fruits and vegetables

As hemroids are largely lifestyle induced, they respond better to natural treatments which sensitively take into account the circumstances which have caused them.

The treatment which I recommend shows techniques to immediately ease the pain and discomfort and how you can be completely cured within a few short days.

One word of warning though. This treatment is not suitable for those who simply expect to take a tablet and be cured. You will need to play an active part in your own recovery, but it well worth it. There is no over the counter medication which guarantees a complete cure, yet this method is so successful that it is offered with a full money-back guarantee.

Prevention of Stomach Ache & Abdominal Pain

Bella Mclaine asked:

Abdominal Pain is also known by other name “Bellyache”. It can be defined in a simple way as pain in the belly. The abdomen extends from below your chest to your groin. You may feel abdominal pain anywhere between your chest and groin. Abdominal pain is a common problem. Due to the many organ systems in the abdomen the pain may arise in any of the organ from chest to groin. These organs include the stomach, small intestine, colon, liver, gall bladder, and pancreas. However, pain can be mild or serious which may put you into health dilemma. Abdomen pain can be classified into two categories namely acute abdomen pain and chronic abdomen pain. The causes of abdominal pain also rely on *** and age of the patient. An abdominal pain can be easily caused to small children and adults too. The abdominal pain usually is used to explain pain originating from organs within the abdominal cavity.

The pain caused by the abdomen may be mild or serious. It is said in abdominal pain that the pain can be minor which may lead to threatening condition, such as colon cancer or appendicitis. Severe abdominal pain can be from light situations, such as gastric problem or viral gastroenteritis.

It is difficult to apportion the ratio of abdominal pain in accordance to the age of a person.

Hemorrhoids Relief – Discover The Secret And Get Rid Of Hermorroids Forever

Tim J. asked:

Adults who have had hemorrhoids before will know that it’s very frustrating and painful. This is a condition that many adults are suffering and keeping it secret because of being embarrassed. A lot of people have tried many hemorrhoids relief methods but failed. However, if this condition is unhealed, it could become very worse and eventually you may need a surgery.

Now, I will show you how to treat hemorrhoids using many options available on the market.

At first, you may start by using creams or ointments. These can be found in your local drugstores. The ointments can be applied to the area to decrease the inflammation. This can provide some relief for many people with mild symptoms. However, this is just a temporary relief and it’s likely that the condition will come again.

Another relief option for you is the use of a suppository. The suppository can be introduced into the rectum and then gives moisture and a level of lubrication to the hemorrhoid. The objective is to provide enough moisture that allow the affected area to cure before it bursts again.

There are also many medicines in the market that can be used to regulate the blood pressure and tighten vein tissue. These pills can give you negative side effects to your body and it is still questionable about their effectiveness.

Those are the three most basic treatments normally prescribed by doctors. However, they are not all that effective, especially for patients with severe condition. Mostly, they just give temporary relief but the cause is still hidden inside.

Digestive System of Dogs

Kelly Marshall asked:

Dogs are primarily carnivorous creatures that have short and fast digestive tracts. They do not eat like human beings, who are omnivores, and they certainly don’t eat anything like cows or other herbivores. It is important to make this distinction because most of the health problems of our furry friends can be attributed to their diet. That is, their human engineered diet. The fact is that dogs in the wild eat differently than domestic dogs. They are hunters and they are scavengers. While they prefer fresh meat and flesh, they will often have to eat carcasses, bones, or even insects.

But when we take a domestic dog into our home, we often ignore the history of the animal and begin to feed them food that does not contain the vitamins or protein they need to grow up healthy and to maintain their energy. That is why many veterinarians recommend a combination diet that includes mixing bits of raw or cooked meat in with their regular dry or canned food. This provides domestic dogs with the protein and nutrients they so desperately need.

In fact, the digestive system of a dog is specifically designed to break down, absorb protein, fat, and even bones. Their stomachs actually have higher levels of acids that help them quickly break down meats. Dogs have absolutely no need for plants, vegetable or any kinds of carbohydrates in their diets.

But, as we mentioned, most dog owners are completely unaware that what they are feeding their beloved pets is unhealthy. Truth is that most commercial products use grains, corns or wheat as their primary ingredients not only because it’s cheaper, but also because they know most pet owners don’t know any better.

Though some people still maintain that dogs are omnivores because they sometimes see their pets eating grass, you can clearly see when we take a quick look at their digestive systems that they are mistaken.

The Mouth

The first thing you notice when you examine the mouth of a dog is, of course, its large fangs. These teeth are used for grabbing and holding onto prey. The front teeth help the dog scrape meat off the bone, while the incisors act as scissors to cut meat. Lastly, the molars are there to crack and crush bones. As you can see, all of these teeth are specifically designed for hunting and tearing meat.

Saliva

While human saliva contains chemicals that help us break down food, dog saliva is simply used as a lubricant and is chemical free. It is also true that dogs do not and cannot grind or chew their food. They just break it down and swallow it whole or nearly whole. The stomach is responsible for all of the digestion in dogs, just as it is in other carnivores.

Intestines

The intestines of dogs are shorter than those of either the omnivore or the herbivore. As a result, they are simply not long enough to digest plants or vegetables, which require more time to break down.

As you can see from this brief look at the digestive system of the dog, they are clearly carnivores and therefore should not be feed plants or vegetables. Though a dog may in fact eat these foods if they are mixed in with meaty flavoring, like many commercial dog foods, it they will not help him grow up healthy and strong.

Let These Bloating Remedies Help You Deflate Your Abdomen

Raj Kumar asked:

Bloating and constipation are the common ailments, one out every four of us are suffering from but fail to acknowledge. Don’t you worry; numerous bloating remedies are here for your rescue. When large amounts of toxins from the food we have taken enter the body and stick to our colon there the trouble starts. The toxic waste lying in our body emits gases and the abdomen gets filled with this gas. Bloating is nothing but accumulation of the gas in the abdomen leading to great discomfort and pain. Even the abdomen looks bulged and there will be a rise in the length of its diameter as well.

Often, eating allergic items and taking an overdose of food also causes bloating. Some people are allergic to diary products like milk etc. This condition is also known as lactose intolerance. People suffering from lactose intolerance will also develop bloating in their abdomen. Women who are experiencing their menstrual cycle or who has the problem of ovarian cysts are also likely to suffer from bloating. Take small walks or do some exercise to get rid of the bloating during those days. If you are looking for immediate relief from bloating you also use a pill of Phazyme. Pills made of activated charcoal also work effectively in reducing the gas and lessening the bloating. People who are using other medicines or birth control pills should refrain from using activated charcoal pills for it might cause some side-effects. Activated charcoal pills are not supposed to be taken continuously for longer periods.

In order to cure bloating you should find out the real cause behind it. If it is constipation, then, laxatives or eating right food will help. If it is the gas that is causing you the trouble then you can drink some carbonated water so that gas will escape naturally from your body in the form of a belch. If you don’t mind taking pills then you can also pop in a couple of betaine hydrochloric acid tablets. Even simple things like inhaling air through mouth or taking calcium supplements can also lead to severe bloating. Exercise caution while eating. Take your time to chew and swallow the food properly.

Some of the natural homemade remedies to cure bloating are pop in some seeds of celery and chew on them. You can also take some chamomile, prepare some tea with it and drink it. This will give instant relief to your bloating. Such teas can be made from other things like ginger, peppermint and ginger. As these teas are made from the natural products they are extremely healthy and they have no side effects at all.

Avoid foods that cause bloating to you. Not all the foods will be taken in the same way by everybody’s digestive system. Some people might find that they are allergic to few foods whereas the others might eat them more.

Depending on your body type and availability choose the remedies for your bloating problem. When trying out any of these bloating remedies if you have experienced any kind of discomfort discontinue them and seek the help of a doctor.

Hypnotherapy And Watertherapy For Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Ravi Kuwadia asked:

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) can be treated effectively through some ‘Do It Yourself’ type natural treatments. Try the following natural treatments to cure IBS yourself.

1. Drink a cup of slippery elm tea every morning and every night is one of the best Natural Treatments for Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Elm tea soothes colon tissues. As an alternative, you can use slippery elm powder also.

2. Give a gentle rub of one-tablespoon olive oil mixed with one tablespoon of lobelia oil for 15 minutes to tummy. It will relax muscles and will reduce the bloating problems and pain. Massage the tummy in clockwise direction and inhale deeply.

3. Regularly perform deep breath exercises at least 4- 5 times a day is also considered one of the effective Natural Treatments for Irritable Bowel Syndrome. These exercises reduce stress and make abdominal muscles more strong. Inhale deeply expanding the belly not the chest.

4. Drink peppermint tea daily in between your meals and drink at least 7- 8 glasses of pure water.

5. Take some probiotics like acidophilus lactose free milk or other acidophilus drinks with your meals.

6. Take partly hydroginated guar gum along with diets. This reduces constipation problems and increases essential bacteria in intestines.

7. Sprinkle some Cinnamon on the food. This improves digestion, lowers cholesterol and prevent diarrhea.

8. Aroma therapy has also been proved an effective Natural Treatments for Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Lavender, lemon or jasmine, etc are good options that can be used in candle, scented disc or bath oil form. These scents help to reduce mental stresses.

Hypnotherapy is cost effective, safe, comfortable and non-intrusive way to cure IBS. Hypnotherapy can be used with other mainstream treatments based on medicines.

If conducted correctly, Hypnotherapy improves confidence and self-esteem. Hypnotherapy also helps the patient in self-improvement and routine management by changing negative thoughts for positive ones. Hypnotherapy treatment is effective even if it is administered in groups. Hypnotherapy for Irritable Bowel Syndrome delivers long lasting effects by reducing health care costs and various mental as well as physical disabilities. Hypnotherapy is different from cognitive therapy. Hypnotherapy helps in reducing extra weight, reducing pains, quitting smoking, overcoming phobias and reducing mental stresses or anxiety.

Generally, while having Hypnotherapy for Irritable Bowel Syndrome, 8 to 12 Hypnosis sessions are conducted on weekly or on alternate week basis. Each session lasts for 30-45 minutes. Patients are told about some simple hypnosis exercises in addition to stipulated sessions with clinicians. Hypnotherapy deals with most of the causes of IBS while common drugs available in the market take care of some specific causes. Some studies have shown that women respond better to Hypnotherapy treatment rather than men.

During Hypnotherapy for Irritable Bowel Syndrome, IBS patients control their actions themselves and feel themselves in deep relaxing state. When the patients feel relaxed, therapist make some positive suggestions just like to place hands over abdomen and to imagine healing warmth being transferred from hands to stomach.

If you don’t have time to join regular session of Hypnotherapy, get some CDs that are easily available at Hypnotherapy centers.

Water therapy makes it easy for the accumulated contents in the stomach to pass through the bowels. Water therapy reduces discomfort and pain you feel while suffering with IBS.

Water Therapy for Irritable Bowel Syndrome diminishes constipation problems by softening the stool. The water also helps to add bulk to stools aiding peristalsis that reduces the chances of muscle spasms and abdominal cramps. Water Therapy for Irritable Bowel Syndrome binds irritants, dilutes toxic wastes in the GI tract, maintains correct intestinal flora balance and brings oxygen to muscle tissues; thus improving the functioning of digestive system and keeping gastrointestinal muscles tone at normal level. Presence of adequate quantity of water in the body helps to combat the problems associates with dehydration.

Water Therapy for Irritable Bowel Syndrome should be used only as supplement for other IBS treatments because water therapy becomes more effective in conjunction with treatments like intake of fiber-rich diets.

Drinking water in a right way purifies entire body system and renders the colons more effective and intestines become more active. After getting up in the morning, drink 1.50 liters (6-7 glass) water. During initial stage, drink four glass of water in one go and after 2-3 minutes drink the remaining water. This kind of water therapy treatment is also known as ‘Usha Paana Chikitsa’.

Diarrhea – Causes, Symptoms and Treatment

peterhutch asked:

Diarrhea means that you have loose, watery stools more than three times in one day. You may also have cramps, bloating, nausea and an urgent need to have a bowel movement.

Causes of diarrhea include bacteria, viruses or parasites, certain medicines, food intolerances and diseases that affect the stomach, small intestine or colon. In many cases, no cause can be found.

What causes diarrhea?

Bacterial infections. Several types of bacteria consumed through contaminated food or water can cause diarrhea. Common culprits include Campylobacter, Salmonella, Shigella, and Escherichia coli (E. coli).

Viral infections. Many viruses cause diarrhea, including rotavirus, Norwalk virus, cytomegalovirus, herpes simplex virus, and viral hepatitis.

Diarrhea can also be a symptom of more serious diseases, such as dysentery, cholera, or botulism, and can also be indicative of a chronic syndrome such as Crohn’s disease or severe mushroom poisoning syndromes. Though appendicitis patients do not generally have diarrhea, it is a common symptom of a ruptured appendix. It is also an effect of severe radiation sickness.

Infectious diseases. There are a few infectious diseases that can cause chronic diarrhea, for example, Giardia lamblia . Patients with AIDS often have chronic infections of their intestines that cause diarrhea.

Symptoms of Diarrhea

Signs and symptoms associated with diarrhea may include:

Frequent, loose, watery stools

Abdominal cramps

Abdominal pain

Fever

Blood in the stool

Bloating

Other common infectious diarrheas may be caused by bacteria. These bacteria irritate the bowel and make it pour out fluid. The inflammation may also be associated with cramping abdominal pain. “Travelers’ diarrhea” is due to particular bacteria common in certain areas of the world.

Diagnosis of Diarrhea

Sigmoidoscopy

For a sigmoidoscopy, the doctor uses a special instrument called a colonoscope, which is a long, flexible tube that is about as thick as your index finger and has a tiny video camera and light on the end, to exam your rectum and lower part of your colon. During the procedure, everything will be done to help you be as comfortable as possible. Your blood pressure, pulse and the oxygen level in your blood will be carefully monitored.

How Is Diarrhea Treated?

If you have a mild case of diarrhea, you can just let it run its course, or you can treat it with an over-the-counter medicine.Common brand names include Pepto-Bismol, Imodium A-D and Kaopectate, which are available as liquids or tablets. Follow the instructions on the package.

Foods like rice, dry toast, and bananas can sometimes help with diarrhea.

Avoid over-the-counter anti-diarrhea medications unless specifically instructed to use one by your doctor. Certain infections can be made worse by these drugs. When you have diarrhea, your body is trying to get rid of whatever food, virus, or other bug is causing it. The medicine interferes with this process.

The type of drink is not as important as simply replenishing lost water. But avoid milk. It will make diarrhea worse. Diet soft drinks do not provide the calories that dehydrated people may need, so regular soda or soft drinks may be selected to replace lost water.

Other treatments are available, depending on the cause of symptoms. For example, the bulk agent psyllium helps some patients by absorbing excess fluid and solidifying stools; cholestyramine, which binds bile acids, is effective in treating bile salt induced diarrhea. Low fat diets or more easily digestible fat is useful in some patients. New antidiarrheal drugs that decrease excessive secretion of fluid by the intestinal tract is another approach for some diseases.

Hypnosis: The Way To Overcome Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Richard MacKenzie asked:

Irritable Bowel Syndrome is a problem that makes life difficult for many people each day. Though it’s not life threatening or a largely serious medical issue, it does cause a constant worry for lots of people. The biggest issue for most folks who suffer from Irritable Bowel Syndrome is over how to treat the condition. Doctors, for all their education and knowledge, still haven’t come up with some sort of protocol for treating Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Depending upon which doctor you choose, you could get any number of different treatment options. Some doctors are even prescribing a high fiber diet for Irritable Bowel Syndrome, which is clearly known to make the problem worse.

If doctors can’t help you get it fixed, then where do you go? There are quite a few options for people who struggle everyday with Irritable Bowel Syndrome. The main concern of these folks is to eliminate their stress levels, which are known to cause more stomach problems in addition to Irritable Bowel Syndrome. The stomach as a whole is a stress sensitive area, as many of the basic problems associated with stomachs are due to stress. In order to eliminate some of the tension that contributes to Irritable Bowel Syndrome, a person must make sure that they try out hypnosis.

Hypnosis can calm down the stomach muscles and relax the body, which has a positive impact on Irritable Bowel Syndrome. When the stomach becomes more relaxed, added blood flows to the stomach and Irritable Bowel Syndrome begins to go away. Though this might not completely eliminate the problem right away, it will help to slowly increase the blood flow and decrease the level of irritation.

Many people don’t even think about hypnosis when they consider fixing a problem like Irritable Bowel Syndrome, but they certainly should. In my time as a hypnotherapist, the numbers have supported the claim that hypnosis can help cure different conditions like these. Hypnosis is not just that trick that you saw in a magic show. It isn’t just something that you make fun of in the movies. When people have no where else to turn, hypnosis can help them drop the problem that has had such a grasp on their life. Like with Irritable Bowel Syndrome, hypnosis can have a positive impact on a bunch of other problems. Anything that be fixed by a change in thinking or some relaxation is fair game for hypnosis.
